SASTI BASTI SCHEME/  LOW-COST HOUSING SCHEMES

Human Settlement Authority (HSA) formerly Sindh Katchi Abadis Authority (SKAA) has successfully launched Low-cost Housing Schemes commonly known as Sasti Basti at various districts of the Province. 

Basic concept of the scheme was that the plots are allocated to the most needy persons/families at price they can afford. Allotees raise construction themselves keeping in view their need and affordability. The entry fee is nominal and covers a part of cost of land. Remaining amount has to be paid in easy installments over a period of five years. The development of the scheme is incremental, the internal services are limited to the basic. PROCEDURE FOR ALLOCATION OF PLOT UNDER SKAA LOW COST HOUSING REGULATIONS 2008

.  REGISTRATION OF SHELTER LESS LOW INCOME FAMILY

PAYMENT OF ENTRY FEE RANGING FROM RS.8,000/= TO RS.10,000/= WHICH COVERS A PART OF PRICE OF PLOT

TO RESIDE IN THE RECEPTION AREA OF THE PROJECT AT LEAST FOR TWO WEEKS

 AFTER ASSESSMENT, POSSESSION OF 80 SQ. YDS  PLOT IS HANDED OVER FOR IMMEDIATE CONSTRUCTION

 A TIME OF 30 TO 45 DAYS IS ALLOWED FOR CONSTRUCTION AND SHIFTING TO THE UNIT

 60 MONTHLY INSTALLMENTS RANGING FROM RS.300/= TO RS.500/= TO RECOVER TOTAL PRICE OF PLOT.

.   OCCUPATION IS THE ONLY GUARANTEE OF THE OWNERSHIP OF PLOT DURING THE PERIOD OF 5  YEARS AND NO TRANSFER/TRANSACTION IS ALLOWED

 OWNERSHIP DOCUMENTS WILL BE ISSUED AFTER 5 YEARS FROM THE DATE OF POSSESSION SUBJECT TO CLEARANCE OF ALL DUES.
